Adding Players

  1. Click Edit to open the Edit Player Roster form.
  2. Notice that staff members are listed at the top. If any of these members is also a player (e.g. this is an adult-league team), check the Player box. If you don't want to see the staff members list, uncheck the Show All Members box.
  3. Enter information about individual players, one per row. You can enter any or all of the following:
    • Name: Enter first name and last name separately. Don't worry about entering players in alphabetical order. Directra will automatically sort your roster list by last name after you enter and save your data.
    • Player Position: Select from the drop-down box. The choices available are specific to your team's sport.
    • Number (No.): If you know it, enter the player's number.
    • Role: If the players has a special role on the team (e.g. captain, alternate) you can specify it here.
    • Birthdate: Enter the player's birthdate. This is optional but can be used to track the birthdays of the players on you team.
    • Gender: If the team is co-ed, specifying gender is useful for two reasons: 1) Some leagues require a minimum number of female participants. You can tell at a glance if you have the required number. 2) Some names are ambiguous as to gender. This can help you (and others who view member information) know the gender of the player.
  4. When you're done, click Save. The edit box will close and you'll see the information you just entered.
