Directra Build #395
Released on January 29, 2009
Directra Alerts
We have added a mechanism by which you can receive news about Directra.
- Alerts will appear at the top of each Directra page. (You can't miss them.)
- Once you have viewed an alert, you can close it by checking the
in the upper-right-hand corner of the alert. - Under the More tab we have added a link to the Alerts page. Here you will see all alerts (active and inactive) which you have received. You can also open the Alerts page by clicking the title in the upper-left-hand corner of the alert.
- On the Alerts page you can click the
sign in the upper-right-hand corner of any alert to re-activate that alert. - Some alerts, for example notification of a new build, are time sensitive and will automatically cancel after a period of time. This way if you haven't logged into Directra for a while the alerts won't build up and take over your screen.
- Alerts are activated per user, not per Group. This means if you're a member of more than one Group, if you cancel an alert in any of your Groups it is canceled for all your Groups.
Telephone/Voice Improvements
We made a number of adjustements to Directra's phone features:
- We changed some of the wording that is used by the automated attendant, e.g. "Send a blast" instead of "Send alert".
- We added a ringtone sound during connection delays so that you'll know something is happening.
- We improved the quality of the machine-generated spoken voice and the reliablity of speech recognition (when you speak in answer to a prompt).
Security
- We no longer send your password to you when confirming your successful login for the first time.
- We've re-done how the Forgot your password? procedure works. You will get an email message which will link you back to Directra. Enter a new password, with confirmation, and you'll be good to go.
Other Enhancements and Bug Fixes
- We added the New Member action to the Invite Members page.
