Directra Build #384
Released on January 20, 2009
Call Blast / Click to Call Improvements
We fixed a number of issues related to using the telephone to contact Group members, either when using click-to-call or making a call blast.
- Phone key presses are now recognized much more easily. Previously key entries (particularly the number "1") were sometimes ignored.
- We improved retry behavior when a call is not successful.
- We reduced the default retry period to 1 hour and reduced the number of time a call will be retried.
- The quality of the phone connection and the recorded voices has been significantly improved.
iPanel Comments
Members can now add comments to each other's iPanels:
- Any Group member can add a comment, and the comments are viewable by all Group members.
- On your iPanel, you can delete inappropriate comments.
- To add a comment use the comment icon (
) or the Comment on [name]'s iPanel entry in the Action menu.
Invitations and Shared Email Addresses
The primary login for any member is the member's email address. This is how Directra identifies the member.
But what if someone who shares the same email address receives an invitation?
When the second person accepts the invitation he or she will be given a choice. Either log in as the first person who has logged in using this address, or provide a new email address.
The latter choice assures that the second person has a unique identity in Directra. After providing the new email address the member will receive a new invitation email, and when accepting they will have a unique login to the Group.
Other Improvements & Fixes
- For admins we added a paginator to the Activity tab, making it much easier to look at recent activity in the Group.
- We supply a set of starting HTML tags if you choose to use HTML instead of plain text when providing a comment or description in various parts of Directra.
- We improved notification emails. Comments on iPanels, Forum topics and other changes can now cause a notification email to be sent. Members decide which notifications they want to recieve by configuring their iPanel.
- We increased the number of page types from which you can send an email link.
