Directra Build #303

Released on September 18, 2008

New Features

  1. We made several improvements to the calendar and schedule:
    • On the schedule, we merged the What and Details columns into a single What column. As part of this we simplified wording, added icons, game scores and other items. Open the schedule and check it out.
    • On the home page view of the schedule you now view specific types of schedule entries - games, practices, events, birthdays and photos. We removed the All option, so to see the entire schedule, click on the word Schedule in the upper-left corner of the schedule box.
    • On the Calendar the location of a game, event or practice is now displayed (and is clickable to display a map of the location), along with the game result (for completed games, of course). Also, the game result is now included when exporting a calendar.
    • On the calendar you can now jump to a specific month. Previously to view the desired month you had to cycle forward or backward a month at a time.
  2. If the Group calendar is enabled on the public web page then games, practices and events can now be made public. This allows you to share game recaps, videos and photos with people who are not members of the Group.
  3. Photos can now be viewed in the order they were uploaded, starting with the oldest. This allows you to sequence through the photos of, say, a game, in their natural sequence.
  4. We made additional performance improvements to Directra.

Improvements / Fixes / Changes Made

  1. In the Roster, the Delete command on the pop-up window for members did not work. Also, this pop-up menu did not have email or phone options.
  2. Some characters used for tag names caused problems with the telephone interface. Now tag names may contain only letters, numbers and spaces. Also, it was possible to create a tag with no label. We now check and require that a label be defined.
  3. Using the text-to-speech option when sending a call blast, if the text of the message contained a single space then an empty call blast was sent.
  4. After editing the Roster the changes were not displayed until the screen was refreshed.
