New Features

1. Directra now supports family relationships. You can associate parents with their children so that all members of a family can be identified. There are many advantages to this feature:

   • Directra allows you to do things as a family or as an individual.
   • Family members can edit each other's contact information. The first user who logs in can edit everyone's contact information.
   • Parents can edit contact information for their children, making sure your children are protected to your satisfaction.
   • Individual family members can have their own contact information.
   • When you post to a forum or modify any record it makes it clear which family member did the operation.

   Here's how to use the new family features:

   • For existing Groups, enable this feature on the Features section of the Admin tab. Check the box Has Families and save this change. (If the Group has children under the age of 13 you should check the box, Is Youth?, which will check the Has Families box for you.)
   • Directra will automatically create families based on last name when you add new members. For existing groups, go to the Members tab, select the command Edit Members, and click Save. Directra will automatically create families. If this assignment is incorrect you can use View Family to remove a member from a group, or use the iPanel for that member and edit his/her specific family information.
   • From the Members tab select View Families to see a list of all families in your Group. Click on a family name to see details for that family. To change the family name or update members in the family, select Edit Family.
   • View and edit family memberships for members using individual iPanels.
   • Family members can edit each other's iPanel information. Just click on the family member name to open the iPanel. (Members of other families will never be able to edit your information.)
   • When you delete a family, all members of that family are also deleted from the Group. To remove a member from a family, use the View Families command and click on the appropriate family name. Select Edit Family, and then select Remove From family for the appropriate member.
   • If a member is a part of a family, then you can click on the member's first name to open the member's iPanel, or click on the member's last name to open up the family iPanel for that member. (And, as noted below, when you scroll over a member's name you'll get a pop-up menu providing appropriate actions.)

2. We added new commands to make it easier for you to enter and to update Group information.

   • Edit Members is a single page where you can edit properties for all Group members, add new members, link directly to iPanels for members and to families.
   • Edit Members and Edit Members are separate forms.
   • Roll over (hover) names on member list to get a pop-up menu of possible actions.

3. Directra introduces Directory Dial, allowing you to call anyone in your Group by calling a central number and following some simple voice prompts. You'll never have to remember individual phone numbers again. Contact us to get a phone number for your Group.

Improvements / Fixes / Changes Made

1. You should notice that Directra is much faster now. We made a number of changes to improve program performance.
2. Group members can log in directly from the Directra home page (www.directra.com). They no longer have to remember the Group name.
