Public vs. Members Only
Each shared group has a Directra web site, open to any visitor. It's quite possible, even likely, that you want to control which information on the site is generally available (public) and which information is available only to members who log in to the site (members only). Directra allows you to control this information display at a very detailed level.
What Information Can You Control?
Directra allows you to specify public vs. members-only access at the object level. This means, for example, that you can make some photos viewable by the general public, but other photos are viewable only by Group users after they log in. Objects whose access you can control include photos, videos, calendar entries, announcements, discussion topics and files.
How Do You Set the Public vs. Members Only Value?
When you create or edit any object (photo, video, etc.) you will see radio buttons with this choice:

Select the value you want and save the object. Depending on your setting, when you view the object you'll see one of these settings:
  or
Default Values
The Group admin sets the default value for each object type. This setting determines which radio button (public or members only) is selected when you create an object. This is especially important when importing many files, photos or videos at once, since they will all have the default value. If you're not sure of the default setting you might want to check with your Group admin before uploading.
To set the default values, click Edit Group Features on the Settings tab. Check the box next to those features you want enabled for your Group and select the default access for that feature.
