Protecting Your Contact Information

Directra provides a safe yet flexible way to display your personal contact information. Specifically, you can control what information is available in your Member Page and various views in the Members tab.

  1. Contact information is available only to members who log in. It is never available to the general public.
  2. Members who log in may or may not see your contact details according to the settings you or your group admin have defined. Each email address, phone number and home address can have one of the following settings:
    • Unlisted (): The information is visible to you and the Group admin. Other members do not even know it exists.
    • Protected: () The word Protected is displayed, together with a description of the contact information (e.g. home, or work). This allows members to use Click-to-Contact without ever knowing your actual number or address.
    • Visible: () Your contact information is displayed for other Group members to see and use.
Notes

  1. Don't be alarmed when scanning through the Members tab and you see that all your contact information is displayed. That's because you (and your Group admin) can always see all of your information. Other members will only see what you let them see.
  2. You can specify a different protection setting for each of your phone numbers and email addresses. For example, you might set your home phone to visible so others will know your home phone. At the same time you might make your mobile phone protected, so you can be contacted but your actual number won't be known.
