Notifications

Types

Directra provides notification to you whenever any or all of the following objects are created, modified or deleted.

Note

You may not have all of the following available to you. Your Group admin selects which types are available for your Group, and the choices available depend on the type of Group you have. For example, if your Group is not a team then you probably won't have Games or Practices available.

  • Albums are collections of media files: photos, videos, MP3 files and other file types. Notification is made when an album is created, modified or deleted.
  • Announcements are messages from your Group admin posted for all members to see. Notification is made when an announcement is created, modified or deleted.
  • Conferences are phone conversations among Group members. Notification is made when a conference is created, modified or deleted.
  • Custom Pages allow you to provide specialized information to your Group beyond the built-in capabilities of Directra. Notification is made when a new page is created.
  • Discussions allow Group members to propose and comment on topics of common interest. Notificiation is made with a discussion topic is created for when a comment is added.
  • Events are general entries in your Group calendar, for example meetings, parties or other types of get-togethers. Notifications are important here so you know the latest about an upcoming event. (When changes are time critical you might also receive a blast.)
  • Files can be uploaded by any member of your Group. Examples are documents (e.g. newsletters) or music (.mp3) files which can be played directly. Notifications will tell you who uploaded a file and when it was uploaded.
  • Games are calendar entries for teams. Notifications are important here so you know the latest about an upcoming game. (When changes are time critical you might also receive a blast.)
  • Group members may change their personal information or add a profile, or another member may add a comment to a member's Member Page. Using this notification type is a great way to make sure don't miss updates from other members.
  • Photos may be uploaded by any Group member. The notification email provides a single entry to note that photos have been added or modified. Follow the link to view all photos.
  • Practices are calendar entries for teams. Notifications are important here so you know the latest about an upcoming practice. (When changes are time critical you might also receive a blast.)
  • Related Groups are separate Groups linked to each other because of a common connection. For example a league Group may have individual team Groups linked to it.
  • RSVP is what you'd think it is. Notification is made when a member RSVP's to an event.
  • Tags are ways of grouping your Group members. Notification is made when tags are created, modified or deleted.
  • Videos, like photos, may be uploaded by any Group member. The notification email provides a single entry to note that photos have been added or modified. Follow the link to view all videos.
