RSS Feeds / Activity Feeds
An RSS feed is a way for you to keep up with changes to a web site without actually visiting the site. If you want to keep up with several sites, using the RSS feed from those sites can be much quicker then visiting each site and then looking for new content. Directra provides an RSS feed for your Group so you can check anytime to see if there is something new on your Group's web site.
Subscribing to your Group's Activity/RSS Feed
Subscribing is the process of telling your browser or other program that reads RSS information that you want to follow a particular web site. On the Features tab select RSS Activity. This takes you to the Group Activity page. Click Get URL for RSS Feed. The box that pops up gives you two choices:
- Click the link prefaced by For most browsers... and your default web browser will open. Follow the instructions from your browser to subscribe to this feed. Your RSS feed becomes a bookmark in your browser. Refresh the bookmark then use it as a link to a digest summarizing recent activity in your Group.
- Copy the URL (it's pretty long, since it uniquely identifies you and your Group), then open your preferred application for viewing RSS feeds and paste the URL as specified by the application.
