Members - Types of Membership
There are different ways you can use Directra, depending on how your group is configured. Here's an overview of how it works.
- Administrators: The person who creates the group is the initial admin. The admin then adds names and contact information to the group, creating ...
- Members: Once your name and email address or other contact information has been entered you are a member of the Directra group. The admin can send you blasts and contact you using other Directra tools. However, at this point you can only receive information from the admin and view the group's Directra home page (if one has been created) as a member of the general public.
- Logged-In Members: The admin can invite you via email to join the group. If you accept this invitation you can log into the Directra group site, upload media (photos, videos, files) participate in discussions and see information not available to the general public.
When you log in you can see and update all of your personal information. You have the option to mark it visible, protected or unlisted. Your contact information is always hidden from the general public. See Protecting your Contact Information for details.
As a member you may or may not be able to send blasts. This, and other permissions, are determined by your grouup admin.
