Maps
Whenever you click on a location, either for the group, for an individual, or for the location of an event, Directra will display a Google map for that location. In addition, if you have specified your own address, Directra will display directions to the location.
Group Locations
It's quite possible that your group will have one or more locations where members meet. It's easy for your group admin to specify these locations.
- On the Settings tab click Group Settings. Locations are edited as part of the Setup section.
- On the Settings tab, click Group Features and make sure Map is checked.
To view a map of the group locations, click Map on the Features tab.
Event Locations
When you add an item to the calendar you can specify a location. When group members view this event they can click the location to see a map and get directions. Here are a couple of tips in specifying event locations.
- If this is a one-time event, enter the address directly into the Location field when adding the event to your calendar.
- If this location will be used for several calendar events (e.g. you will often meet at the same place), then enter the location as a group location, as described above. Then for the specific event, just select the location from the drop-down list when adding the event to your calendar.
Group Member Locations
Group members can add one or more locations to their Member Page. If the location is visible then other group members can click the location to display a map. Also, by checking Show Members when viewing the group map (above), all visible member locations will be highlighted.
If you have listed a location on your Member Page then whenever you click the address to display a map, directions to that location will be given.
