The New / Edit Game Form

  • Date: You can enter the date manually, using mm/dd/yy or mm/dd/yyyy formats. or by clicking the calendar icon, then selecting the desired date.

  • Opponent: Enter the name of your team's opponent for this game.
  • Category: Directra uses game categories to allow you to see your team record in various sections. For example, you may want to track individual tournaments, league games and playoffs. • Type: Directra allows you to specify the type of game. For example the game might be a scrimmage, an exhibition game, a preseason game, or some other type. • Sub-type: This is an optional field where you can enter short text which will be displayed in parentheses when you view the game on your calendar. For example, if this is a playoff game you might want to indicate this is a semifinal game, and your Note would be semis or semifinals.
  • Location: You can enter a location here or select a known team location from the drop-down list. You define team locations using the using the Locations section on the Group Settings Page. If you gave your locations labels, then all you need here is the label. Anyone viewing the game entry can click and get a Google map of the location.

  • Home/Away Status: If you know, check whether you're the home or the away team.

If you checked the box Select scoring method on a per game basis on the Template section of the Group Settings page then you can tell Directra how to compute a win for this game, i.e. high score wins or low score wins. If you didn't check the box then this option will not appear.

  • Access: As with all Directra objects, specify if the details of this game can be seen by anyone coming to your web site or only by members who have logged in.
  • Cancel this game: Check here if for some reason you need to cancel the game but still want it displayed on your calendar. In this case, the game will be displayed, but with all text struck through.
  • Notes: Enter here any notes about the game of interest to group members. This can be directions, special notes and, of course, a recap of the game. This can be as long or as short as you like. You can enter this as plain text, or if you want more flexibility, use HTML.
