Gadgets
Gadgets are the means by which Directra displays information on your home page. You add Group information using various pages (e.g. the Members page or the Roster), and then lay out gadgets to display this information on the home page. Directra provides a number of built-in gadgets, but you can add your own custom gadgets to display information specific for your Group.
Built-In Gadgets
Directra provides a number of gadgets that display very specific information.
For teams, Directra provides gadgets to display the team roster, team record, games and practices (using the monthly calendar or calendar list gadgets) and other team-specific information. All formatting is done automatically.
For all Groups, built-in gadgets include Monthly Calendar, Calendar List, Photos, Videos, Discussions, Announcements, Contact Us.
The full list of gadgets available can be found when you edit your home page layout, available from the Home Page Layout item on the Pages tab.
Displaying Gadgets
Your Group home page has three columns, two narrow columns on either side and a wider column in the middle. Using the Home Page Layout item on the Pages tab you decide in which column to place a gadget and its vertical position in that column.
- Check the box next to each gadget in the column where you want the gadget displayed.
- Use your mouse to drag the checked gadget to the desired position in the column
- For specific gadgets, after you check the box you can specify how many items for that gadget to display on the home page.
