Custom Pages and Gadgets
Directra provides a number ways for you to capture and communicate important information for your Group. But often there are times when your Group requires certain information that just doesn't fit the various built-in information sources provided by Directra. If this is the case, create a custom page and access it through a custom home page gadget and the Pages tab.
Creating and Editing a Custom Page and Gadget
Select Custom Pages on the Settings tab.
- To create a new custom page, click Add Page.
- To edit an existing custom page, hover over the name of the page you want to edit and select Edit Page Info.
Fill out the custom page form and click Save.
Displaying and Viewing the Gadget
- To place the gadget for the page on the Group home page: On the Settings tab, select Home Page Layout. On the form that pops up check the box by the gadget name in the desired column, and drag the gadget up or down within that column. Click Save, then go to your home page to verify correct placement.
- To view the custom page: On your home page, click on the name of the gadget or, if the page was created to be shown on the Pages tab just click the tab and select that gadget name.
Removing the Gadget or Page
- To remove the gadget from the home page: The easiest way is to click the gadget title and select Remove Gadget from the Home Page. You can also edit your home page layout (see above) and uncheck the box next to the gadget name. The page will still be available through the Pages tab but its gadget will not appear on the home page.
- To remove the page from your Group: To delete a custom page (and it's associated home page gadget) click the Pages tab, select the name of the page to be removed. Click the Actions button on the details page and select Delete Page.
