Directra Conferences
Need to get in touch with some of your group members quickly to discuss an issue? Want to meet regularly with the same members of your group without everyone having to be in the same place? Use Directra's conference features.
Conference Types
Text Chats can be used for a small number of participants who need to discuss something quickly. Text messages, with the sender's name, go to all participants and can be threaded (like email) on a smartphone.
Any text chat can add voice conferencing, so that members can talk and text with each other at the same time. All members are called and the connection is immediate. Learn more ...
Voice Conferences give you the full set of voice conference features. Schedule them for the future, use temporary rooms or set up a permanent conference room, record the conferences, send invitations by text, voice or email and get RSVPs from invitees. Learn more ...
Features
All Directra conferences have these features in common:
- Start immediately or at a scheduled time in the future. All conferences are event entries in your Directra calendar, making it easy to see when conferences have occurred or will occur and allowing you to send reminders for scheduled conferences.
- Call-outs. Directra calls, texts or emails all participants, making it easy to join the conference.
- Local command set. While in the conference you can mute/unmute yourself, find out who is attending and start/stop conference recording. Text Chats have commands to add members, start a voice conference and take a poll of your attendees.
- Recording (optional). You can record some or all of any voice or text/voice conference.
- Summary reports. All conferences are listed on the Comms tab. Click each conference to drill down and get more detail.
- Permissions. You control who can convene a conference.
