Making Sure Your Message Gets Through
Directra will make every attempt possible to deliver a blast message. If the specified medium fails, Directra will use another medium to get the message through. The most basic communication is email, and if all else fails, the message gets delivered as email. Here's how it works:
- Sending a text blast
- Recipients with textable phones get the text message.
- Recipients without textable phones get a call instead, with the text message converted to speech. *
- Recipients also get a courtesy email with a copy of the text message. *
- Sending a call blast
- Recipients with callable phones get the blast. If answered, the blast is played. If not, the message is left on voice mail. If there is no voice mail the message is marked as a failure in the blast summary.
- Recipients without a callable phone get an email with either the voice message as an .mp3 attachment (for a recorded message) or the text of the message (for a voice blast made using text-to-speech). *
- Sending an email blast
- Recipients get the email.
* = Recipients enable/disable this feature on their Member Page.
