Exporting Your Calendar to a File

You can export your Directra calendar information to a file, making the data available to other programs. Directra will create an iCalendar (.ics) file. Here's what to do:

In Directra

From the Calendar tab click Export Calendar, then select Download Export File. Note that you can download data for all your Groups calendars or for the specific Group you're using.

In Your External Calendar

Find the Import File option in your calendar program. (It is often on the File menu.) If prompted for the type of file to import, select iCal or iCalendar. Click OK and your Directra data will be added to your external calendar.

This is a one-time snapshot of your Directra calendar. When you make changes to your Directra calendar they are not automaticaly updated in your external calendar as they would be if you used the subscribe to calendar option. However, for older external calendars you my not be able to use the subscribe option.

Here's how to do this for older versions of Microsoft Outlook.

  1. On the File menu select Import and Export ....
  2. On the dialog that appears, select Import an iCalendar or vCalendar file (.vcs).
  3. Click Next, then select the file you want to import and click OK.
