Setting Up a Conference Call

You can use Directra to host conference calls with invited members of your Group and the general public. Conference calls can be initiated from your Directra web site (Comms tab, Conferences view) or using Directra's mobile interface.

How It Works

You have a wide variety of options when setting up your call.

  • Participants: Invite tagged subgroups or individual members of your Group to participate. Permanent rooms allow Group members only. Temporary rooms allow anyone who has the room number to particpate.
  • Subject: Optionally you can specify the subject of the call. This is especially helpful for scheduled calls which appear on your Group calendar.
  • Conference Rooms: For regularly scheduled calls you can define a permanent conference room. For an ad hoc call Directra will assign you a temporary conference room.  Learn more ...
  • Joining the Call: Optionally, Directra will call each participant when the meeting begins. Members who don't receive the call can join by dialing Directra's conference phone number, 877.393.0051, and entering the call's room number.
  • Recording: Optionally Directra will record the call. Go to the conference call details (Comms tab, Conferences) page for playback.
  • Timing: You can initiate a call immediately, or schedule the call for some time in the future. For the latter you can choose to send an immediate blast notifying participants of the call, and you can send an email to participants asking them to RSVP. Scheduled conference calls appear as an event on your Group calendar.
