Email, Text and Call Blasts

Blasts allow you, with a single email, text message or phone call, to send a message to any or all members of your Group.

Tip

Once you have assigned members to your Group then you can use Directra from the web or from your smartphone (iPhone or Droid). Just log into www.directra.com/mobile.  Learn more ...

  • Use tags to identify sets of members within your Group
  • You can send an email blast from Directra by clicking the Comms tab Email Blast button. You can also send an email blast from any email program. Learn more.
  • To send a text blast, click the Comms tab Text Blast button or create and send the blast directly from your phone. When you're done, Directra will email you summary status of the blast. . Learn more.
  • To send a call blast, click the Comms tab Call Blast button, or create and send the blast directly from your phone. When you're done, Directra will email you summary status of the blast. Learn more.

Directra will do everything possible to make sure your blast reaches its intended audience. For example, if for some reason Directra can't deliver a call blast or a text blast to an individual, it will send an email instead. In some cases Directra will send a call blast in addition to or in place of a text blast. This all happens "behind the scenes" to assure you that your message gets sent.

Examples
  • When you set up a team Directra lets you specify who are the players and who are the parents. You can then call, email or text all the parents, say, to let them know about a change in schedule.
  • Before a team road trip determine who will be driving and assign these people to a temporary tag, say "Drivers". Drivers can then call or text each other to keep abreast of the latest traffic conditions. When the road trip is over you can delete this tag.
