Add New Members and Families
Once your Group is defined you will, of course, want to add members.
Creating Families
Many Groups, e.g. youth sports teams, will want to establish family relationships among members. Directra will do this automatically, using auto-assign when you add members as described below. Add members one-at-a-time
This method is not as fast as the methods below but allows you to enter much more information about a member.
- From the Members tab select the Members view and click the Add Member button. This opens the New Member page.
- Enter the member's first and last names.
- Enter the member's email address and one or more phone numbers.
- At this point you have enough information to send the member a blast. However, if you have more information, e.g. phone, home address, etc., you can add it now.
- Click Save and the member will be added to your Group.
Add several members at once, using the Add Multiple Members command.
This method allows you to enter information about several members at once, using a spreadsheet format.
- From the Members tab click the Add Multiple Members button.
- Enter member information one member per row. At a minimum fill in the First (name), Last (name), Email Address and phone number fields.
- Click Save and these members will be added.
Add several members at once, using the Roster.
From the Members tab click the Roster view. In the Roster, add staff members and players by clicking Edit Staff and Edit Players respectively. In both cases Directra provides instructions for how to fill out the Roster details. Learn more ...
Add several members at once, importing member data from a file.
You may want to use this method if you already have member information stored in a format that can generate a CSV file. Learn more ...
Copy/Move Members
You may have an existing Group and are creating a new one. You can save time and move or copy records for existing members who will also be members of the new Group. Learn more ...
